Munich, 12 February 2025 - Dr. Philip Groth will take over the position of Managing Director of Cherry Digital Health GmbH, a subsidiary of Cherry SE, on March 1, 2025. On 1 March 2025, Dr. Groth, an experienced manager in the pharma and health tech space with a focus on leadership, business growth, governance and strategic transformation will take over responsibility for the digital health business at CHERRY. He succeeds Gerrit Schick, who is leaving the company at his own with effect of 17 March 2025. Dr. Groth has a distinguished multinational track record in strategic and operational leadership, specializing in digital transformation within the medical and pharmaceutical sectors. He adeptly navigates a complex ecosystem of corporations, mid-sized enterprises, start-ups, and public authorities, including the national agency for digital medicine, gematik, as well as key decision-making bodies in this highly regulated market. His career highlights include leadership roles at CompuGroup Medical SE & Co. KGaA and Bayer AG. Most recently, as CEO of Cerascreen GmbH, Dr. Groth played a pivotal role in advancing the development and market readiness of innovative digital products. In his role at CHERRY, Dr. Groth will be responsible for shaping the company's global strategic direction in digital health. His focus will be on advancing the software and cloud product roadmap, implementing scalable business models, and driving international expansion. Focus on expanding the CHERRY eHealth card terminal platform Building on CHERRY's leading market position in eHealth terminals and related digital service solutions, the Cherry SE Executive Board has tasked Dr. Groth with the following directives: Development of the digital eHealth strategy 2025+ Designing a comprehensive cloud, software and hardware roadmap Expansion of the cloud service offering Market launch of new healthcare services Development and implementation of a partner-oriented go-to-market concept with a view to the growth potential of hospitals, doctors' surgeries and pharmacies through to other service providers such as physiotherapists and midwives. In 2024 alone, the company achieved a sales increase of more than 30% compared to the previous year.
